Gil looks at Heather's sleeping form, and sees the future. Their future, him and her and little Allison too. He sees school plays Disneyland, playdates at home. . Moonlit dinners, beach-walks, love making under the stars.  He sees them together, growing old. Raising Allison to be strong.

He sees these things.

I guess you could say this takes place after/during Slaves of Las Vegas. Sorta Lady Heather's impression of Gil.

In case your wondering, or ever want to give it a try, a dribble is a 55 word fic. The 1st sentence is 10 words long, the 2nd sentence is 9 words long, the 3rd  sentence is 8 words long . . . You get the idea.  For some reason it reminds me of a haiku.

I wrote this during my lunch break (I gotta do something to keep from falling asleep).

I purposely kept the couple as ambiguous as possible.
